]]> One of the good guys of the MLB, The Phillies Eric Bruntlett, turns an unassisted Triple Play to end their game against the Mets over the weekend here’s the clip:

Here’s another clip form one my favorite plays he made as an Astro.  In the 2005 season Bruntlett would be brought on in the 9th inning when the Astros had the lead as a defensive substitution for Biggio.  Boy did it pay off this day, he helped turn a huge Double play to end game 4 in the 2005 NLCS.

]]> I’ve officially become a paparazzi target. The past 2 weeks we’ve been watching the LA Lakers and every highlight we see before the game action are shots of Jack Nicholson, or Leonardo Dicaprio, or Penny Marshall.  So last night @ the Rangers game who does ESPN flash up there none other than me and my buddy Andy to the right of me in the USC Trojans Shirt.

]]> About a year ago I signed up for a twitter account. My initial visit to twitter was just to check out the site to see how it works. After about 10 minutes I was bored with it and went back to facebook and updated my status there instead. About 2 weeks ago I ventured back to twitter.com, updated my status, and found a few people to follow. I’ve kept up with their updates for a few days now, and think there is something twitter brings to the table other social site don’t.

I think twitter is something you’re rewarded for finding a few interesting people to follow, and sticking with them. If they start to bore you drop them and find someone else more interesting. Right now I’m following 19 people, a few Houston folks, like Richard Justice of the Houston Chronicle, and Alyson Footer of the Astros. I also decided to follow a few Dallas area people as well, Mark Cuban, and a few of The Ticket show hosts. I added a few Soccer twitter pages like US Soccer, and the FIFA world cup 2010 page. Then there are a few celebs that I’m giving a shot, mostly b/c I think they pretty interesting people: Lance Armstrong, The REAL Shaq, and Danny Masterson.

So, we will see how it goes, and if I have enough time to keep up. I really think following Lance Armstrong during the tour de France, and getting the inside scoop on the Astros as stories develop from Alyson Footer make twitter a very interesting resource for real-time updates.

Another thing I like about twitter I like is the ability to search tweets in real time and find stories and comments on stories in a constantly evolving environment. Versus a Google search that is formulated of hours, days, months, and years of their web crawlers, sometime known as spiders, locating xml site data, metatags, and other criteria to build their search results. This means your search results usually going to lead you to real-time articles, from twitter posts created and updated in minutes and seconds.

Lastly, twitter has a nice little widget with wordpress that I can use to update my Facebook status and my site at the same time. So now you can check my twitter status here on makin-it-rain.com

As I find more interesting Twitter’ers worthy of following I’ll let you know. If you have any favorites please comment and let me know. And if you’re on Twitter look me up and give me a follow I can be somewhat interesting on occasion.
