I’ve been really busy on Dixie and I’s site, courtanddixie.com.  I’ve been getting it prepared to serve it’s inital purpose of hosting information about our wedding for our guests.  We sent out our save the dates earlier this week so I had to whip it into shape.

Dixie went through and found all my grammar and type-o’s that spell check misses.  So it should be up to snuff now.  I’ll probably be posting there more for a while, but I want to put together a world cup preview before it starts and I have a few other random thoughts that I’ve been meaning to throw up here, so keep checking back in.

For the past week I’ve been working on a few things on the courtanddixie.com page.  Not real sure I’m 100% happy with it but I think we’re going to give it our best shot.  Dixie’s been working on the “How we met” and a few other details, while I iron out some of the technical and design features.  I’m sure it will come together swimmingly, and will end up being a great tool for everyone to keep up with us, our wedding next summer, and everything in-between.

So as we plan our wedding festivities, a few things we know for sure:

We’re getting married on Saturday July 10, 2010 at 6 o’clock, in Granbury, Texas; at the Acton United Methodist Church, with the reception @ the Granbury Convention Center on Lake Granbury.  We’re also looking at renting out a space for a little after party fun with our guests that are still standing @ 11.

Everything is coming together nicely; Dixie is working really hard to get as much done while she has the free time this summer before school starts.  She’s been talking with caterers, florist, bakeries, & photographers.  Admittedly I’ve done very little, but I’m looking forward to the tasting’s we have scheduled next weekend with the caterer’s and bakery.

There’s so much preparation that goes into this weekend/day.  I’m sure it’s going to be amazing and we’re really excited about sharing it with everyone!
