Heres a little pro’s tip Fellas, get your girl into a fantasy football pick’em league. Dixie and I play in a co-ed league with 25 others.  Buy-in was $30 each, weekly winner gets $15, overall winner gets $300 so there is some money on the line here.

The first week Dixie wasn’t really into it, but in week 2 she won the weeks picks and has really gotten into the games.  Which in turn means NFL Sundays have become necessary evil now to watch and keep up with the games throughout the day.  Doesn’t hurt that she’s a huge Cowboy fan, I’m not, but it’s okay we’re watching football right?

We’re actually watching Monday Night Football right now…not an eyebrow raised.

For the past week I’ve been working on a few things on the courtanddixie.com page.  Not real sure I’m 100% happy with it but I think we’re going to give it our best shot.  Dixie’s been working on the “How we met” and a few other details, while I iron out some of the technical and design features.  I’m sure it will come together swimmingly, and will end up being a great tool for everyone to keep up with us, our wedding next summer, and everything in-between.

So as we plan our wedding festivities, a few things we know for sure:

We’re getting married on Saturday July 10, 2010 at 6 o’clock, in Granbury, Texas; at the Acton United Methodist Church, with the reception @ the Granbury Convention Center on Lake Granbury.  We’re also looking at renting out a space for a little after party fun with our guests that are still standing @ 11.

Everything is coming together nicely; Dixie is working really hard to get as much done while she has the free time this summer before school starts.  She’s been talking with caterers, florist, bakeries, & photographers.  Admittedly I’ve done very little, but I’m looking forward to the tasting’s we have scheduled next weekend with the caterer’s and bakery.

There’s so much preparation that goes into this weekend/day.  I’m sure it’s going to be amazing and we’re really excited about sharing it with everyone!
