I’ve been testing out a new phone for work, a Blackberry Curve 8900. We’ve been having a lot of trouble with T-Mobile’s service. T-Mobile thinks it may be linked to the phone itself, the previous version of the Blackberry Curve. Dropped calls seem to be the biggest complaint. I’ve had some dropped calls but I think about what should be expected. One thing I don’t like is not having GPS on a cell phone. I didn’t know how much I would miss it until I didn’t have it. I travel a lot on business and GPS has gotten out of some jams and found a lot of cool places with it. The BB 8900 has GPS enabled on it, so I installed Google maps for blackberry. I notice that they have enabled the Google gears tool Latitude. Latitude allows you to invite friend to follow their locations via GPS or triangulation. It’s been pretty neat I don’t have many friend that I’ve been following but if you want to start following me you can email and I’ll add you.
